The history harks back to over 30 years ago, when it began as an intimate, cosy beachfront restaurant, serving delicious fare to friends and discerning locals. One of its early fans was the famed Thai architect Mom Tri, who took over the establishment in 1988 and started adding rooms to accommodate his friends. The atmosphere was convivial and exclusive, a tropical paradise where the best of friends gathered and enjoyed a good time.

Today, The Boathouse Phuket retains the same air of elegance, privacy and distinction. It remains the only beachfront boutique resort nestled on the idyllic Kata Beach. It’s a haven for holidaymakers, as well as a gastronomic destination for food lovers.

The Boathouse Restaurant serves award-winning classic Western and Southern Thai culinary traditions; it boasts favourites like the lamb shank Massaman and seared Australian beef salad.
