November 2017, Krabi – The commemoration of 50 years in the industry calls for a celebration that demands more than just streamers and fireworks. This year we want to show the world that at the grand age of 50 we will continue to innovate and impress with a spirit unique to our Sofitel brand. In the pursuit of highlighting these new goals we have decided to organize the ‘Feel Welcome’ event which takes place on the 19th of November, opening our doors to local heroes who deserve the utmost appreciation for the work they have done within our local community.
So who are these local heroes? Everyday our hotel houses hundreds of residents and guests who go about their days enjoying all the comforts we have to offer at our resort. However, these pleasures are a result of the hard work of a number of individuals who contribute greatly to making our neighborhoods and grounds safe and enjoyed by many. These individuals include doctors, nurses, ambulance workers, firemen, policemen and security, teachers, cooks, bakers, artists, charity volunteers and so and so forth; all of whom protect us, care for us and make our lives here tranquil.
And so, on behalf of the entire AccorHotels Family, our management team led by General Manager Mr. Bertrand Courtois would like to invite these local heroes to celebrate their generosity at our ‘Feel Welcome’ event on the 19th of November at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. The event promises a special day as we will be joined by a dynamic group of children and teachers from the NAT Association, a French charity group founded in 2005 by Elisabeth and Jean-Claude Zana in loving memory of their daughter Natacha who lost her life in the 2004 Tsunami.
The association aims at providing immediate aid to children affected or orphaned by natural disasters, giving them the opportunity to access education and care. The charity has already established the Natacha Primary School and Nursery in Kuankojan, Krabi which provides education for over 120 students and hopes to continue in their efforts in helping the youth achieve their true potential. At Sofitel we like to make everyone ‘Feel Welcome’ and to celebrate giving back to the community with great food and a fun-filled day for everyone.
