What were you doing / where were you living & working before?
In Bologna Italy. I was a business owner and general manager of a telecommunications franchise company. Before deciding to relocate in Thailand I was a financial and marketing advisor for multiple industries and clients.
What’s special / different about your business? What are its unique points?
We specialize in pre-construction sales of low-density villas and apartments and we give our clients the possibility to personalize the property layout by choosing the floor plan and interiors that best fits their lifestyle. We are a small, private company so we can follow up and satisfy most of clients’ requirements. Meeting deadlines and avoiding ‘surprises’ is our guiding principle.
Tell us something about your role in the business.
Being a business owner means covering and overseeing every single aspect of a company. My role in the business starts from brainstorming new products to final quality check of our properties.
What’s your main target market?
Building a strong reputation as a developer and property manager is our goal. Our target is to constantly improve construction quality and establish strong business relationships with our clients by offering more complete and affordable property management solutions.
What’s your approach to marketing?
How does advertising figure in that approach? We give our full support to local and international agents by investing the biggest portion of our resources in this area as we understand that multilingual intermediaries still play a fundamental role in the market. Advertising is very important to build brand awareness and confidence in the brand so we keep investing in the internet and local media.

Has the political situation in Thailand, including martial law,
affected your business?
No. The Phuket beach clean-up and the anti corruption project has been much appreciated by our customers and fortunately we haven’t received any cancellation.
What changes have you seen in the market in your business sector since you started? How have you responded to them?
I have seen a rapid emergence of new market segments. There are many different types of customers now, all of whom have their own distinct needs, requirements and preferences. We have responded by launching new projects in different areas; our products now range from 1.7 to 16 million baht.
What do you think about the changes to Phuket’s beaches? Is this good for Phuket’s target tourism?
I personally believe that Phuket’s beaches simply need to be rethought allowing tourists to choose between organized and free beaches.
Is your business involved in any corporate social responsibility programmes? We are committed towards the environment; our team has researched all the best eco-friendly product options and combined them with architectural designs to create a sustainable ‘green home’. We use spray foam insulation reducing up to 50% of cooling costs and the roofs of our villas host the latest technology of photovoltaic panels to convert the sunlight into electricity, reducing energy consumption up to 70% annually. We invest in the most energy efficient equipment available, we install energy efficient lighting and from 2014 we have reduced the use of wood in our projects by more than 80%.
What are the main challenges as they relate to your role?
The biggest challenge was learning Thai. On a construction site English is not always sufficient. Since the first day I moved in Thailand
I started learning the language and now I am able to communicate with my team without difficulty
And what are the biggest difficulties you have to overcome? Delegating is very hard in Thailand. I have learned what patience and tolerance mean here in Phuket.
What do you like most about what you do now? I am creative person, my passion is projecting and designing so developing homes seems to be the perfect job for me.
And what do you like least about living here? Phuket traffic, rainy season and non-respect of deadlines by suppliers are my nightmares.
Please give us an overview of your typical day ‘at work’. How do you schedule your time? Overseeing the construction site on a daily basis is my priority then I distribute the time left between sales, finance and research of new products and materials.
How would you describe your leadership style? I have always believed that leading by example is the easiest path. As a leader you have to inspire the people around you.
